Doug received recognition as the winner, as one of four finalists, at the RHRMA Summer Social and received a $2,500 Educational Grant.  Doug is a member of the Virginia Chapter of the IPMA.

Doug stated, "My IPMA-CP training at the Southern Region Conference in 1998 played a significant role in showing me exactly how to be "strategic".  The training was five consecutive days of non-stop new ideas and better ways to accomplish HR tasks - all from government folks who had been doing these things!  I really do have IPMA to thank for such excellent training - and inspiration."
